Project: SAVE THE BEES
Did you know that 1/3 of our worlds food supply depends on the Bees for pollination?
In recent years the honeybee populations have been declining in concerning numbers.
This is a result from many factors, pesticides and chemical treatments alter the bees delicate systems. Transporting bees for pollination is very stressful on the colonies, sugar feeding is detrimental to anyone’s health let alone a tiny honeybee! all of these things lower immune systems leaving them susceptible to disease and mites.
What can you do about it?
Consider either sponsoring a hive or getting one yourself!
it helps to increase the populations of a species that are being wiped out, increases yields in gardens up to 500% in studies!
When the colony is strong enough bee products can be consciously harvested. Natural organic techniques are now being implemented by even the most conventional of commercial bee keepers. e mail me for more info on how you can help save the bees.
“Bee The Change”
This is a non profit program designed to increase local food security, Honey bee Populations and bring public awareness to the growing concerns for our bees. Private or Corporate sponsorship of a Bee Hive allows for the sponsored hive to be maintained by the Queens Bees Project on a farmers land where the farm will benefit from crop pollination.
This allows farmers who could not afford the time or costs associated with having their own bee hives the ability to benefit from them.
One of the contributing factors to the recent Honey bee die offs are the fact we take their food source and replace it with artificial sources that initiate malnutrition. It can take a few years for a colony to become strong enough to produce excess Honey and when our projects bees reach that level excess honey comb will be sterilized with 100% pure essential oils and frozen in a Honey bank. This will ensure that our bees are only fed their natural food source…Honey!
